Just like David Letterman, I have my own Top 10 lists. Here is my Top 10 List of My Favorite Blogs About Social Media, Online Marketing, and Blogging (in no particular order):
- Problogger (http://www.problogger.net/): I’ve been reading Darren Rowse’s Problogger blog for a couple of years now. If you’re interested in learning about blogging or just want to become a better and more successful blogger- then start here.
- Entrepreneurs-Journey (http://www.entrepreneurs-journey.com/): I’ve been reading Yaro Starak’s blog for about as long as Problogger. While Problogger provides a wealth of blogging information, Entrepreneur’s Journey provides a lot of inspiration along with blogging information.
- TechCrunch (http://www.techcrunch.com/): If I want to catch up on all the latest news and reviews pertaining to web-based companies and applications- this is where I go.
- Mashable (http://mashable.com/) : Anymore, I find Mashable and TechCrunch cover the same stories. But Mashable does provide more stories and information which are more applicable to bloggers and entrepreneurs.
- Freelance Switch (http://freelanceswitch.com/): A fantastic blog and resource for anyone already freelancing or thinking about freelancing. There’s a ton of resources which would appeal to bloggers and entrepreneurs, as well.
- CopyBlogger (http://www.copyblogger.com/): Despite the focus on content and writing, CopyBlogger will help anyone learn more about writing great content as well as how to effectively market yourself and your blog.
- Performancing (http://performancing.com/): Performancing is a mishmash of everything related to blogging and business: marketing, tutorials, writing, blogging apps, and much more. A little bit of everything pertaining to blogging.
- Shoemoney (http://www.shoemoney.com/) and John Chow (http://www.johnchow.com ): I put both of these together because to me- one isn’t any better than the other. Both are about one guy starting with essentially nothing and building their little empires over time. Now, both are wealthy and are well-respected bloggers. Both of their blogs has some frivolous posts but they also have some real nuggets of inspiration and information if you search around.
- Daily Blog Tips (http://www.dailyblogtips.com/): Much like Performancing, Daily Blog Tips offers a lot of information pertaining to blogging. You could spend hours going through this site. I know I have.
- Weblog Tools Collection (http://weblogtoolscollection.com/): If you run a blog using Wordpress, then you HAVE to bookmark this blog. Almost every day, there is new information posted regarding new WordPress plug-ins, themes, and/or news.
So there you have it. Did you discover some new blogs? Do you have any you would recommend for others to check out- including your own? Let us know in the comments below.
